History Of Liverpool

Liverpool is said to be the most successful football club . The club was founded on 15th march 1892 by John Houlding. They played their first game against Higher Walton 8-0 on 23rd September 1892. And since then they have not looked back . Till now they have won several cups and trophies . Their first manager was George Kay .He started very badly registering just three wins and four draws in first twelve games . Results improved slightly and they ended 18th in their first league . Their league record improved in preceding years as they ended in middle of the table. Finally they won a league Championship in 1947 .
It was 1961 when their new manager Bill Shankly was appointed and under him they wan many trophies . They won League Championship (1964), FA Cup (1965), League Championship (1966), League Championship (1973), UEFA Cup (1973), FA Cup (1974).
In 1974 a new manager Bob Paisley was appointed. He remained the Liverpool's manager till 1983 and became the most successful Manager in the history of Liverpool . His one and only season without a trophy was his first season 1974-75. Next season bring him six league titles. In 1977 they won European cup for the first time in their history . The European Cup was retained the following year with a 1-0 win in the final against FC Bruges.1978-79 was a record breaking year as the league title was won with 68 points and only 16 goals conceded in 42 matches. The following season brought another league title. Paisley's third and last European Cup victory came in 1981 with a 1-0 victory in the final over Real Madrid. Under Bob Paisley as the manager they won : League Championship (1976), UEFA Cup (1976), League Championship (1977), European Cup (1977), European Cup (1978), League Championship (1979), League Championship (1980), League Cup (1981), European Cup (1981), League Cup (1982), League Championship (1982), League Cup (1983), League Championship (1983) .
In 1983 a new manager was appointed and under him they won : League Cup (1984), League Championship (1984), European Cup (1984).He remained their manager till 1985 . In 1985 their new manager was appointed in the name of Kenny Daglish .They won League Championship and FA cup in 1986, League Championship in 1988 and FA cup in 1989 under Kenny Daglish.
In 1991 Greame Souness was appointed as their new manager and they won only one cup under him . It was one of their bad performance time under Greame Souness . They won only FA cup in 1992 under him . It was Roy Evans who took the charge in 1995 and even he could not do much either. They won only League cup in 1995 under him .
But this bad era ended with the appointment of Gerard Houllier as their new manager . They won League cup, FA cup, FA Charity Shield and UEFA Super Cup in 2001 and they won League cup in 2003 under him . But he was replaced by Rafael Benitez in 2004 And he has been very impressive since then . They have already won UEFA Champions League (2005), UEFA Super Cup (2005), FA Cup (2006), FA Community Shield (2006) under him as a manager .
This is how a great club Liverpool reached at the top spot in the world of football . Livarpool has been a great football club and is still very dominating in the world . Only god knows how many more trophies it is going to win .

The History of Arsenal from 1966 to present day has many ups and down . They have won three doubles , One cup double and success in European football. They won their first European Trophy in 1969-70 , Their first league and FA cup double in 1970-71. But after that it was a bad decade for Arsenal when they lost three FA cup finals and a Cup Winners' Cup final on penalties. There only success during that period was when they won FA cup final in 1979-80 against Manchester United. After a bad decade they never looked back . They started winning regularly. Winning became their habit . They won the league cup in 1986-87, two league titles in 1988-89 and 1990-91,The FA cup and the league cup double in 1992-93, and a second European trophy, the Cup Winners' Cup, in 1993–94. In 1996 Arsène Wenger was appointed as a new coach of the team. Under him, Arsenal won a second league and cup double in 1997–98 and then a third in 2001–02. Moreover the club won in the 2002–03 and 2004–05 FA Cups, and won the Premier League in 2003–04 without losing a single match. This showed that Arsenal has a great future ahead. In 2005–06 became the first London club to reach the UEFA Champions League Final, but were beaten 2–1 by FC Barcelona. And now they are leading the premier league by a difference of 5 points . So all this shows the reputation of a great club, Arsenal.
